Hello! My name is Melissa Valentine and I love teaching 3rd grade at Gateway! I have been at Gateway for 2 years now, and look forward to many years here! In the past I've been aide and taught special ed. While working within various positions and within different schools, I have gained some great skills that I've been able to incorporate in my classroom. 

 

I'm originally from Manteca and moved to the Roseville/Rocklin area to attend William Jessup University where I received a Bachelors in Psychology. After working at a counseling center helping with the social skills program in schools, I decided to pursue a teaching credential. I eventually attended Brandman University where I received a teaching credential and Masters in Education. 

 

My husband I just celebrated our 6th anniversary! We love to travel and explore new states, trails, lakes, anything outside or revolving around food! We have 2 adventurous, miniature Australian Shepherds who help keep us active, and who I love telling stories about to my students.
