I am Alison Tomlinson, and this is my second year teaching with Rocklin Academy. I joined the school after a wonderful student teaching experience in the sixth grade. Though I am entering my second year of teaching, I have worked with youth for many years through both coaching and teaching preschool. I have been involved with the Rocklin Academy in various capacities for the last two years, including coaching volleyball and student teaching. I truly enjoy watching and helping my students grow, learn, and turn into responsible citizens of the world.
I received a B.A. in Child Development from California State University, Sacramento. I went on to receive my credential from CalState Teach.
I live with my husband in Fair Oaks. We are both from the mountains, so in our spare time, you can find us lost in the hills enjoying many outdoor activities, including fishing, hiking, and relaxing by the lake. We are also major foodies and love trying new restaurants! When I am not spending time outdoors, I am traveling to new and exciting places.
Locally, I am involved with coaching at a local youth volleyball club in the winter time and playing in an adult league. I am looking forward to my second year in sixth grade!
