My name is Gina Moon. This will be my first year as a Seventh grade teacher at Rocklin Academy family of schools. I taught sixth grade at the Turnstone campus for two years and have been an educator for more than eighteen years. I received a multiple subject teaching credential as well as my Art credential from Sacramento State University. I have taught fourth grade, sixth grade, High School, and K-6 grade Art. I am a passionate teacher who believes in the Core Knowledge model and the benefits it holds for our students, families, and teachers.
I was born and raised in Sacramento and have resided in Roseville now for over Fifteen years. I have been married for 18 years and have two wonderful boys, Ethan (13) and Noah (10). In my free time I enjoy creating art and being outdoors with my children. I enjoy kayaking, biking, exploring, and being anywhere where there is water. I am an avid photographer and spend a lot of my free time pursuing this hobby.
I can't wait to see what this year has in store. I look forward to working closely with our seventh grade team and the amazing families that make up our school community. I am a firm believer that building amazing connections produces the best results. Here is to a fabulous year!
