My name is Gina Moon. This will be my third year at Rocklin Academy Gateway.  This year I am transitioning from teaching seventh grade to teaching sixth grade. I taught sixth grade at the Turnstone campus for two years  prior to coming over to Gateway, and have been an educator for twenty two years in total. I received a multiple subject teaching credential as well as my art credential from Sacramento State University. I have taught fourth grade, sixth grade, seventh grade, high school, and K-6 grade art.   I am a passionate teacher who believes in the Core Knowledge model and the benefits it holds for our students, families, and teachers.

I was born and raised in Sacramento and have resided in Roseville now for over seventeen years. I have been married for 20 years and have two wonderful boys, Ethan (15) and Noah (12). In my free time I enjoy creating art and being outdoors with my children. I enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding, biking, exploring, and being anywhere where there is water.

I can't wait to see what this year has in store. I look forward to working closely with our sixth grade team and the amazing families that make up our school community. I am a firm believer that building amazing connections produces the best results. Here is to a fabulous year!
