Hi! My name is Cassie Genthner and I am excited to be teaching 4th grade again this year! This will be my 3rd year teaching 4th grade at Rocklin Academy Gateway. Most of my teaching experience (and my passion) is in fourth grade. I truly love this grade level and love watching my students grow and change by leaps and bounds during the year.

I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies from San Jose State University in 2004 and completed my multiple subject credential through William Jessup University. This will be my eighth year as a teacher and I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades, providing me with great insights about how each grade level works together.

My husband and I are originally from Santa Cruz and moved to the Rocklin area in 2008. We got married just after I graduated high school and have been married for 22 years. We have two wonderful teenagers, who are a junior and senior at Western Sierra Collegiate Academy. We spend a lot of time together as a family hanging out at the closest river, or lake and love to watch old TV shows together too. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, hiking and cooking.

I am so excited to be able to work for Rocklin Academy! This is a wonderful organization filled with incredible staff, rich and meaningful curriculum and amazing families. I am looking forward to partnering with my students' families and making this the best year ever!
