Hi! My name is Christy Osterberg and I am so excited to be starting my fifth year as a speech-language pathologist at Rocklin Academy Gateway.
I was born in Hollywood, CA (my claim to fame!), but spent most of my growing up years in Clovis, CA. I received my BA and MA in Communicative Sciences and Disorders with an emphasis in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University Fresno. I have been a speech-language pathologist for 21 years, and have worked in several types of settings, including an oral school for deaf and hard of hearing children, a homeschool charter, and now Rocklin Academy Gateway.
My husband and I have been married for 23 years and have two kids, ages 17 and 13. My son will be a senior at Western Sierra and my daughter will be in the 8th grade at Rocklin Academy Gateway. When I'm not at school, you will most likely find me on a stage performing in a play or a musical, walking the trails in our neighborhood with my husband and my daughter’s service dog, volunteering at our church, chauffeuring my kids to their various activities, or squeezing in some time with a good book.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to spend my days with your children. I have loved watching them grow and develop in their speech, language, and social skills over the past few years, and I look forward to another year with them!!
