Hello! My name is Jennifer Cronkrite and I am excited to be part of Rocklin Academy Family of Schools. After making the family decision to relocate from Southern California to Northern California over this summer, I was fortunate to be offered a fourth-grade teaching position at Rocklin Academy Gateway!
The 2017-2018 school year will serve as my 20th year as an elementary educator. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching kindergarten, third and fourth grades, as well as served as a Reading Specialist. I obtained a Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Language Arts, along with a Reading Specialist Credential, from California State University, San Bernardino.
Together, my husband and I take great pride in raising our 12-year-old daughter, who is beginning seventh grade. Although we left a lot of family and close friends behind in Corona, we look forward to spending some quality time with our family in the Bay Area and making new friends here. Life is too precious and too short not to be adventurous and explore new places and meet new people.
As a family, we enjoy being out in nature, walking, hiking, swimming, and camping. In addition, we share a love for music, movies, and the arts, as well as relaxing on the back porch of our new house. Shopping and socializing are a couple of my personal favorite past times, too.
By nature, I am a very humorous person and teacher and aim to make learning fun for my students. I work hard to bring out the best in each child, and serve my students and families with distinction, encouragement, and support. Truly, it is an honor and a privilege to work with the public and devote my talents to our greatest investments – children! As much as I teach them, it never ceases to amaze me at how much I learn in the process.
Whether I am lucky enough to have your child in class this school year, or in years to come, please feel free to introduce yourself. On a personal note, I am very amiable and love building relationships with others. As Walt Disney once said, “Our greatest natural resource is the minds of our children!”
