Hi! My name is Leslie Coffee and I am thrilled to be working as a grade level teacher at Rocklin Academy Gateway. Prior to transitioning into the classroom, I worked as the Director of the before and after school program at Rocklin Academy Gateway. Working and inspiring students has always been a dream of mine, and I am beyond thrilled to continue working with Rocklin Academy Gateway.
After graduating in 2009 from Oakmont High School, I moved to Orange County to attend Hope International University. In 2013 I received my B.A. in Social and Behavioral Science with a concentration in History and a Minor in Biblical Studies. I moved back to the Sacramento area after completing my bachelor's degree and began working as an academic adviser and job coach to adults with special needs. During this time, I made the decision to continue my education and begin working on my Masters in Education.
I have always loved working with children and when I saw that a new charter school was in the process of opening I applied to the before and after school position. Since opening in 2014 I have worked in the after school program at Rocklin Academy Gateway. During this time I have worked with students in kindergarten through eighth grade and an amazing team of staff. I have completed my Master's Degree, during this time, and I have had the most enjoyable time learning and growing in the educational field. I am impressed and inspired by the amazing students, families, teachers, and administrators at Rocklin Academy Gateway. I am excited to continue working with them in the classroom setting.
