Hello! My name is Ashley Booker, and this will be my ninth year working closely with students, teachers, and parents as an Enrichment Support Specialist at Rocklin Academy Gateway!  

I have been teaching for 22 years, and during that time I have taught kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. I graduated from UC Davis with a double major in economics and Spanish. After graduating from college, I tried life in the business world for a very short time, but realized that it was not a good fit for my strengths. So I went back to school, and I earned my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from UC Davis.

I believe it is important to create a safe and nurturing environment for students to take risks and reach their full potential.  Working with students in this capacity and helping them to establish a foundation of success has been the most rewarding experience of my career.  I am looking forward to a great year!
